About Levi’s Toolbox
How It All Started
I didn’t set out to become an Amazon seller. Back in college, I was just trying to make a bit of extra money flipping used electronics and textbooks on eBay and Craigslist. I’d scout deals at thrift shops and garage sales, list them late at night in my dorm room, and put the profits toward rent, student loans, and the occasional mountain bike upgrade.
That little side hustle slowly turned into something more. I started noticing patterns in what sold, learned how to write better listings, and got hooked on figuring out how online marketplaces really worked. Around 2012, I listed my first product on Amazon. It wasn’t glamorous, I think it was a Crock-Pot I found in a clearance bin at Target, but it sold. And that was it. I was in.
A Decade of Selling (and Learning)
I’ve been selling on Amazon for over a decade now. I’ve launched a few of my own brands, shipped more products than I can count, and spent way too much time testing different tools, strategies, and ad campaigns. I’ve also built and run Shopify stores, so I know what it’s like to manage both marketplace and direct-to-consumer channels.
This blog isn’t a content farm or a faceless affiliate site. Everything I write here comes from personal experience, what worked, what flopped, and what I’d do differently if I were starting today. If I recommend a software tool or approach, it’s because I’ve actually used it in my own business and think it’s worth your time.
What You’ll Find on This Blog
Levi’s Toolbox is built for beginner to intermediate Amazon sellers. Most of the content here comes straight from my own experience selling on Amazon and running e-commerce stores. I cover the kinds of things I wish I had clear answers to when I was starting out:
-
Product research: How to find profitable products and avoid bad buys
-
Listing optimization: Tips to improve titles, bullet points, images, and SEO
-
Amazon PPC & advertising: Practical guides for Sponsored Products, keyword targeting, and budgeting
-
Inventory & shipping: What you need to know about FBA prep, shipping workflows, and restocking
-
Tool reviews & comparisons: I break down the tools I’ve personally tested, from keyword research software to repricers and analytics dashboards
Whether you’re still in research mode or already making your first sales, my goal is to help you work more efficiently and avoid some of the trial-and-error I went through early on.
